Armatura

This personal project revisited my original university collection, recreated entirely in CLO3D to explore how complex materials and construction can be translated into digital form.

A technical challenge in structure, texture, and storytelling

Bringing this collection into CLO3D offered the chance to test the software’s flexibility in handling highly detailed garments. The designs featured structured pleated leather, structured silhouettes, and heavy knitwear textures, all challenging to represent accurately in 3D.

Each piece was reinterpreted using digital pattern work, detailed fabric mapping, and construction logic to mirror the original intent of the collection. The project not only pushed the boundaries of what CLO3D can visualise but also allowed me to reflect on how far digital fashion has come since my early design journey.

This study reinforced the power of CLO as a tool for creative exploration, technical experimentation, and preserving design archives in a new format.
