What happens when you take a CLO3D render into Raspberry AI?

3D garment renders can already communicate a lot, especially when the garment, fit and styling have been developed carefully in CLO3D. But sometimes the visual outcome still sits somewhere between a technical render and a fully photoreal image.

In this tutorial, I explore how Raspberry AI can be used to transform a CLO3D avatar render into a more polished, photoreal result. The workflow shows how AI can enhance the presentation of an existing 3D garment image, helping to bridge the gap between digital garment simulation and more marketing-ready fashion visuals.

This can be useful for concept communication, lookbook-style imagery and visual experimentation, particularly when you want to explore how far a 3D render can be pushed visually without organising a physical photoshoot.

What I cover in the tutorial

  • Preparing a CLO3D avatar render for use in Raspberry AI
  • Uploading and working with the image in Raspberry AI
  • Exploring how AI changes the look and realism of the original render
  • Comparing a standard 3D render with an AI-enhanced fashion image
  • Tips for getting stronger visual results from the transformation
  • Understanding where this workflow is useful within a wider digital fashion process

Important note

AI-enhanced imagery can be a useful extension of a 3D workflow, but it is important to separate visual realism from technical garment evidence. A more photoreal image may improve presentation, but it does not replace the fit, pattern, construction and product-development information that sits behind the original 3D garment.

That distinction matters when deciding whether a tool is being used for visual communication, concept development or production decision-making.

Version note: This tutorial reflects the CLO3D and Raspberry AI workflow available at the time the video was recorded. AI platforms continue to change quickly, so interface details and image-generation options may look different in newer versions.
