Why use a mock bow in CLO3D?

Creating a bow manually in CLO3D can be surprisingly time-consuming, particularly when you are trying to achieve a natural shape and convincing folds. The pre-made bow options can also feel too rigid when they need to move realistically with the garment.

In this quick tutorial, I show how I create a mock bow using simple pattern pieces, giving you more control over the shape while keeping the workflow efficient. It is a useful technique for garments where you need the visual effect of a tied bow without spending unnecessary time building and knotting one manually.

Working with small garment details? Particle Distance can make a noticeable difference to how finer elements simulate and appear. I explain the workflow I use in CLO3D Particle Distance Explained.
